Thanks to the cooperation between Microsoft and Digital Foundry, the console’s tech specs were announced.

Strange times have come. We were used to hardware reveals during dedicated events or as a part of E3 conferences. But this time Microsoft decided to invite the team of Digital Foundry and share with them information that now published as the first Project Scorpio reveal.

The next Xbox console (Project Scorpio is described as a part of the Xbox One family) will use a CPU with eight custom x86 cores clocked at 2.3GHz. There’s also a GPU with 40 customized compute units at 1172MHz and 12GB of GDDR5 memory. 2.5-inch 1TB HDD will come with the standard model and you can expect a 4K UHD Blu-ray optical drive.
