Bad news, RE fans: if you loved this multiplayer-based spin-off of Capcom’s cult classic survival horror series, there’s not much time left to enjoy it. The game will be accessible to its owners until June 29, 2025.
What if you wanted to buy your own copy of the game to try it out before it shuts down or get any additional content? This will be possible only until March 3, after which both the game and its DLCs will be removed from the storefronts.
It’s kind of surprising, since Capcom is in general satisfied with RE Re:Verse, a title created to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the franchise, saying it “exceeded expectations.” Still, apparently the company reached a new turning point with the franchise, which led to the decision to pull the plug on the project, which launched in October 2022.
As of yet no refunds for either the base game or its downloadable content has been mentioned. Resident Evil Re:Verse will be unavailable to play for anyone after June 29, 2025.
