If you wait for the piratical co-op game Sea of Thieves, then you’re in for a treat.

As announced on Xbox Wire by the developer Rare, the first-person buccaneer is going to get a closed beta in late January. Specifically it’s going to run from January 24th to January 29th. The bad news is that the closed beta is only going to be available to people who became a part of the Sea of Thieves Insider Programme before December 2017, or alternatively: have pre-ordered the game. That narrows the number significantly, but that’s a closed beta, after all.

If you don’t know what’s all the fuzz about, take a look at this here trailer:

Although the release date is a far-off March 20th this year, I think we can all agree to rate this game yarr/10. Although the cartoonish style won’t appeal to many people it only mean only people who like having fun are going to play this game. Which is a very good outcome.
