The Secret World gets a relaunch in early 2017

What a surprise it is! Another MMO gets a free-to-play version.

There will be a lot of changes going on during the first half of 2017. Early this year the work will start as Funcom aims to redesign The Secret World to make it more appealing to newcomers. “Redesigned new player experience” is the core feature of the upcoming updates.

Funcom plans some major improvements in combat and introduction of “retention systems” – that include daily and weekly rewards. As we already spoiled the info, there’s also a free-to-play version planned allowing access to the story content. All changes will start in late March.
