So here's the pitch- Battle Royale... In VR!

Are you hopelessly tired of the trope yet? Against Gravity’s Rec Room isn’t. It’s getting a Battle Royale mode in June.

Rec Room is a VR game, similar to, and I know this will sound really really bad- VR chat. It’s a gathering spot for people to chat, play games… Question whether sentient beings were or were not a mistake and proving that indeed they were…

But sure enough, Battle Royale is quickly becoming the Martian Weed overtaking the entire world. Rec Room is getting Rec Royale play mode in a couple of weeks, in which 16 players can compete against each other in an expansive park-site, find loot and fight using VR weaponry. It’s not quite Battle Royale as you can see, the measly 16 players isn’t quite the 50 vs 50 Fortnite romp.

I mean… if you have a VR set, but don’t want to stop playing Battle Royales, ever… Now you can? A niche market, to be sure, but I’m told there is value in repetition.
