CD Projekt Red has issued a press release stating that someone has stolen early design documents for the much anticipated Cyberpunk 2077.
As if a plethora of hacks and ransomware incidents all around the world connected with a hacker group named the Shadow Brokers, who claim that they are using NSA-created tools, was not enough… Now apparently someone has stolen early design documents for the next big franchise by the creators of the Witcher video game series, Cyberpunk 2077.
The thieves asked for money, threatening to release the documents to the public, but apparently CD Projekt Red will not bunge. In a press release they refuse to pay and inform about proper legal action that will be undertaken.
As the purportedly stolen documents pertain to early iterations of the game, they are supposed to not reflect the present state of the design. So CD Projekt Red is pleading all gamers interested in the game we know precious little about, to abstain from looking at the docs.
