The game received the first proper trailer, as well as some information on when to expect the release.
Electronic Arts confirmed that Star Wars Battlefront II will release on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on November 17th. Subscribers of EA Access and Origin Access will be able to play the game earlier, on November 9th, with people who preorder Elite Trooper Deluxe Edition being able to start gameplay on November 14th.
For the first time in the rebooted IP you will be able to play a single player campaign and here’s the official synopsis:
You play the role of Commander Iden Versio, leader of the Galactic Empire’s elite special forces unit, Inferno Squad. After witnessing the destruction of the second Death Star, Iden’s team embarks on an extraordinary odyssey of revenge, betrayal, and redemption spanning the 30 year gap between Star Wars: Return of the Jedi and Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Along the way, she and her companions encounter a cast of Star Wars’ greatest characters. You’ll take control of many of these beloved heroes in an adventure ranging across a series of fantastic planets, including awe-inspiring settings you’ve never seen before.
Meanwhile, the multiplayer modes will be expanded with heroes from the original trilogy, prequels and the recently released two movies. Up to 40 players will play together in the online part of Star Wars Battlefront II, with new modes including fresh Space Battle scenarios and some tauntaun rides.
