Star Wars: Galactic Racer launches today, October 6, 2026, and Amazon Prime members have a particularly easy way into the Galactic League. The new Star Wars racing game is available through Amazon Luna on day one, with eligible Prime members able to stream the single-player campaign at no additional cost.

That is a pretty substantial launch-day perk. This is not a tiny demo or one-track trial. Amazon’s Luna announcement specifically gives Prime members access to the campaign and also highlights Arcade and Scenarios, the game’s two additional solo-focused modes. If you mainly came to Galactic Racer to race through Shade’s story, experiment with different repulsorcraft, or finally get back behind the controls of a podracer, Prime gives you a lot to work with.

The launch-day takeaway: If you already have an eligible Amazon Prime membership, you can stream Star Wars: Galactic Racer through Luna and jump into its single-player campaign without buying the game separately.

What Prime members get through Amazon Luna

Amazon says Prime members with access to Luna can play Star Wars: Galactic Racer’s single-player campaign from launch day. The benefit is available in territories where Luna is available with Prime.

The big convenience factor is obvious. There is no need to own a current-generation console, and you do not have to wait for the game’s roughly 50 GB PC installation before racing. Fire up Luna on a supported setup and the cloud handles the heavy lifting.

You can head directly to Star Wars: Galactic Racer on Amazon Luna to check access for your account and region.

What Star Wars: Galactic Racer actually is

Star Wars: Galactic Racer is a runs-based arcade racing adventure developed by Fuse Games, a studio founded by racing veterans whose individual credits include Burnout and Need for Speed.

It trades Jedi, lightsabers, and prophecy for an illegal racing league operating in the Outer Rim after the fall of the Empire. You play as Shade, a racer chasing glory and revenge while trying to climb through the Galactic League and eventually challenge champion Kestar Bool.

There is plenty of old-school arcade racing DNA here. Races encourage aggressive driving, shunts, takedowns, risky routes, and builds that suit different racing styles. Fuse also gives you more than one flavor of Star Wars speed, with landspeeders, speeder bikes, skim speeders, and podracers all featuring distinct handling characteristics.

Tracks take the Galactic League across places including Jakku, Ando Prime, Sentinel I, Lantaana, Tatooine, and Derven Acos. You are not just following a racing line, either. Branching routes, hazards, environmental conditions, upgrades, and vehicle setup all feed into the risk-and-reward structure.

Also, Sebulba is back. Because apparently losing one extremely famous podrace was not enough to convince him to find a quieter hobby.

Campaign, Arcade, and Scenarios make this a sizeable chunk

The campaign is the main reason this Luna launch matters. Galactic Racer is not structured as a straightforward sequence of cups. Each tour lets you choose between different events, routes, upgrades, and challenges. Crash out too many times and the tour ends, forcing Shade to regroup and start another attempt, while certain perks and unlocks carry forward.

That makes the campaign inherently replayable. A failed run is not simply a reload screen. It feeds back into the wider progression loop and gives you another opportunity to build a different machine, choose another route, and take another shot at Kestar.

Amazon’s Luna launch post also calls out Arcade and Scenarios. Arcade events are short, focused challenges built around a specific track, objective, and vehicle. Scenarios go bigger, using full runs with different rules and characters to remix the campaign formula.

So if you were expecting the usual subscription sampler, this is a lot more substantial. Amazon is putting the core solo experience front and center on Luna at the same time Galactic Racer arrives everywhere else.

The main caveat is multiplayer. Galactic Racer also includes competitive online racing, but Amazon’s Prime announcement specifically focuses on its solo content. If PvP is the main reason you want the game, owning the full release is the cleaner route.

Need Amazon Prime? Check G2A.COM first

Of course, the Luna perk only helps if you actually have an eligible Amazon Prime membership.

G2A.COM currently lists Amazon Prime subscription vouchers, although the available offers are country-specific rather than universal. That makes checking compatibility particularly important here. Make sure the subscription suits the Amazon marketplace and account you intend to use before buying.

Looking for Prime? Check the currently available Amazon Prime subscription options on G2A.COM, then verify the country restrictions on the item page before checkout.

Amazon gift cards are another route

A gift card can also make sense when a direct Prime voucher does not match your market. Amazon confirms that Amazon.com Gift Card balance can be used during Prime membership sign-up in the United States, while Amazon UK also states that Amazon.co.uk gift-card balance can be used to purchase a Prime membership.

These cards are tied to their respective Amazon marketplaces, so do not treat them as interchangeable. Pick the card that matches the Amazon account and country where you plan to use Prime.

Want to own Galactic Racer instead?

For existing Prime members interested mainly in the campaign, Luna is an obvious first stop. Permanent ownership makes more sense if you want the game outside a subscription, prefer a local PC installation, intend to spend serious time in multiplayer, or simply do not want access tied to Luna’s catalogue.

And if you mostly remember Prime for deliveries and TV, our Prime Gaming free-games and benefits coverage is a useful reminder that gaming has become a substantial part of the subscription too.

A much bigger Prime perk than a demo

The interesting part of this launch is not simply that another game has appeared on a cloud service. It is the timing and the amount of game Amazon is putting in front of Prime members.

Galactic Racer is arriving on Luna on the same day as its worldwide release, and the centerpiece is Shade’s runs-based single-player campaign rather than a restricted opening slice. Add Arcade and Scenarios to the picture and Prime subscribers have a substantial way to find out whether Fuse Games’ combination of Star Wars, Burnout-style aggression, and podracing nostalgia works for them.

Already have Prime? Fire up Luna and race. Need Prime? There are subscription and Amazon gift-card routes to check on G2A.COM. Want Galactic Racer permanently? That option is there too. For once, choosing how to enter the Galactic League may be easier than surviving it.
