Steam Digital Gift Cards is a new way of gifting on Valve’s platform. It works in a similar fashion as brick and mortar store gift card where you purchase a card loaded with a set amount of money.
Steam lets you chose the amount – from $5 to $100 – add a personal message and send to whomever you want. Well, almost.
There are a few restrictions in place. Firstly the person you’re giving the present to must be on your friend’s list for more than three days, Secondly, the amount must be chosen form Steams set proposals. Thirdly, you cannot use you wallet funds but have to pay through other methods like PayPal or your debit card.
