Valve shared information about user count on its digital distribution platform and they are staggering.
There are 67 million daily active users. That translates into 33 million of us playing every day, and apparently, the number is ever growing.
Valve’s development and marketing executive, Tom Giardino, talking at Casual Connect USA (via GeekWire) said that 27 million of those were first time users who purchased a game or tried a free-to-play title.
The average concurrent number of player sits at 14 million which is almost double of that reported by Valve back in 2015. Each month the company estimates around 1.4 million players join the service.
The competition on the digital market platforms is ever growing but seams Steam has everything covered – especially with hits like PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds.
