Big news for Stellar Blade fans! Update 1.3.0 has just landed on PS5 and PC, bringing a wave of bug fixes and performance upgrades to sharpen your gameplay experience.

While there’s no fresh story content or new outfits this time, the improvements under the hood make it a smoother ride for players diving back into the action.

What’s Been Fixed?

This update brings a range of important fixes and improvements to enhance your experience.

  • DualSense controller support has been refined, with improved haptic feedback and more responsive adaptive triggers, making gameplay feel more immersive for PlayStation 5 controller users on PC.
  • In Photo Mode, logo controls now display correctly, and bugs affecting the Korean voice-over have been resolved.
  • Shop rewards have been corrected – missing items are now visible as expected. Several UI issues, including problems with zooming and dialogue triggers.
  • The save system has been updated to show accurate timestamps based on successful saves, and save failure messages are now highlighted in yellow for better visibility.

Stellar Blade PC Fixes

PC users get several special improvements in this patch to make the game run better and feel smoother.

Both AMD FSR 3 (FidelityFX Super Resolution) and DLSS 4 are now fully supported, offering enhanced performance and sharper visuals across a wide range of hardware. FSR 3 now activates correctly after restarting the game, allowing players to enjoy higher frame rates and improved image quality without adjusting settings. Meanwhile, DLSS 4 delivers even smoother gameplay and crisp visuals for those using compatible NVIDIA graphics cards.

Strong Start After PC Launch

Since its release on PC in June, Stellar Blade has sold over 1 million copies in just three days. Total sales have passed 3 million, and the game reached a peak of 190,000 players on Steam. Although the daily player count has dropped to around 14,000 in August, Shift Up continues to release updates regularly, showing they care about keeping the game in a good shape.

Previous Updates and New Plans

Earlier Stellar Blade patch notes introduced Hard Mode, Boss Challenge (with Mann), and save file recovery. These updates gave players more ways to enjoy the game after finishing the main story. Looking ahead, Shift Up plans to release a better Photo Mode around August, new outfits after October, and possible collaborations with other games like NIKKE. A full sequel is also in development and expected before 2027.

Mixed Reviews but Loyal Fans

IGN’s review praised the game’s visuals and combat but said the story and RPG elements were weak. Still, many players enjoy the game and give it positive ratings, especially on Steam. For fans of action RPGs, Stellar Blade offers fast-paced combat and stunning visuals that continue to improve with regular updates and upcoming content.
