September 2nd saw the release of Sumerian Six, a real-time tactics game awaited by more than just the Artifcer studio’ fans.

Sumerian Six is a spiritual successor to games like Commandos and Desperados, a genre which was brought back to life by developer MImimi with Shadow Tactics, Desperados 3 and Shadow Gambit.

S6 takes place during World War 2, but it’s the PULPY World War 2, with mad engineers, evil rituals, an a band of weirdos trying to stop the world-shaking experiments and ambitions of a Nazi scientist. Long story short, it’s historical fiction in the same way Indiana Jones is historical fiction.

Artificer’s new game, as a spiritual successor to sadly closed MImimi studio, was quickly met with very favorable critical and fan reactions, so if you’re into a good juicy pulp with interesting tactical challenges and a great cast of characters, give Sumerian Six a chance while it’s still hot.

It even has a demo, if you don’t fancy going in blind!
