The Temtem universe is expanding again, but not in the way fans might expect.
Revealed during the Triple-i Initiative 2026 showcase, Temtem: Pioneers is a new open-world survival-crafting action RPG that swaps the original game’s MMO-style creature battler formula for exploration, building, and real-time combat.
TL;DR — Temtem: Pioneers

Crema has confirmed the game for PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, while saying console versions are being discussed but are too early to confirm.
Set in a new region called Downbelow, the game takes players away from the original Archipelago and into a more dangerous frontier where Temtem roam freely and survival is a bigger part of the loop.
Crema describes it as a place where every expedition can uncover new discoveries, which makes the project feel less like a straight sequel and more like a genre pivot for the series.
The obvious comparison is Palworld
The obvious comparison is Palworld, and that is not just because both games mash creature collecting with survival systems.
Early details point to base building, multiplayer, fast-paced action combat, and resource gathering, all wrapped around catching and using Temtem in the wild.
The difference, at least from what has been shown so far, is that Temtem: Pioneers appears to stay closer to the brighter Temtem aesthetic and avoids the firearm-heavy edge that helped define Palworld’s identity. That last point is an inference from the reveal materials so far, not a confirmed design rule.
Crema has also said the game will feature 200+ Temtem and a new combat system, which suggests this is more than just Temtem with crafting bolted on.
Coverage around the reveal also notes that the game can be played solo or in co-op, which should make it easier to sell as a survival sandbox rather than a traditional monster-battling RPG.
One important detail
One important detail: there is no release date yet.
Instead, Crema has launched a Kickstarter campaign to help fund at least part of development, which means the project is still at a relatively early stage compared with a typical near-launch reveal.
This is also Crema’s latest attempt
This is also Crema’s latest attempt to widen the Temtem brand after the original game wrapped up active development in 2024 and prior spin-offs took mixed paths.
That context matters, because Pioneers looks like a more ambitious shot at giving Temtem a second life by chasing a genre that has proved there is plenty of appetite for creature-collecting games with survival systems attached.
