Sometimes things don’t quite work out the way you expect them to, and on occasion it means we get to learn something new.
While, of course, it’s always safe to treat leaks with a few grains of salt just to be on the safe side, it has been reported that Best Buy customers received emails stating when the pre-orders for Rockstar’s upcoming industry-shaker.
Xitter user #GTAVI_Countdown has brought light to the matter in a succinct tweet:
The GTA 6 pre-orders date has been leaked by Best Buy early.

Apparently the pre-orders are starting between May 18th and May 21st, coinciding with when Take-Two is having its earning call. BestBuy reportedly sent out a mail with a special offer for pre-orders made between these dates, making the news break prematurely.
We’ll see in a few days whether that’s true or not, but in case it is: starting getting your budgets ready, folks.
