Tides of Annihilation may have found its new Gwendolyn. Following Jennifer English’s departure from the lead role, recent footage has prompted speculation that Angela Sant’Albano, who plays Grace Ashcroft in Resident Evil Requiem, has taken over the character.
For now, however, neither Sant’Albano nor developer Eclipse Glow Games has formally announced her as Gwendolyn’s new voice actor.

Is Angela Sant’Albano the new Gwendolyn?
The rumor emerged after a new Tides of Annihilation demo was shown at an event in Shanghai. Fans watching the footage noticed that Gwendolyn appeared to have an updated look and, more importantly, a voice that sounded like Sant’Albano.
The speculation gained considerably more weight when Jennifer Prime, Gwendolyn’s motion-capture actor, appeared to acknowledge the casting on social media after a fan identified Sant’Albano as the new voice.
Sant’Albano is currently best known to players as Grace Ashcroft in Resident Evil Requiem, making Tides of Annihilation another substantial game role if the reports prove accurate.
Why did Jennifer English leave Tides of Annihilation?
Jennifer English, known for Shadowheart in Baldur’s Gate 3 and Maelle in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, was originally cast as Gwendolyn. She stepped away from the role after deciding that she needed to reduce her commitments and focus on her mental and physical health.
As we covered in our original report on Jennifer English leaving Tides of Annihilation, the split was amicable. English remained involved during the transition, helped the studio connect with potential replacements, and planned to continue supporting the project in an advisory role.
Eclipse Glow Games had already confirmed that a new performer had been selected and was recording Gwendolyn’s dialogue, while praising the replacement’s previous work in games.
Official confirmation is still missing
There are therefore several pieces pointing toward Angela Sant’Albano, from the Shanghai demo to Jennifer Prime’s apparent confirmation, but Eclipse Glow Games has not formally named Sant’Albano as Gwendolyn’s replacement.
Until the studio or Sant’Albano makes that announcement, her involvement is best treated as a strong report rather than confirmed casting.
What is confirmed is that Gwendolyn has a new performer, Jennifer English helped with the transition, and the replacement performance is already being integrated into Tides of Annihilation.
