There’s no single player in Skull & Bones

Arrrrgh, you be plain’ with mateys boy.

Skull & Bones made a bit of an impact n this years E3. With it sea combat and pirating throughout, it was reminiscent of the best Assassin Creed days. The devs have confirmed that the inspiration stems from Black Flag.

This game, however, is a completely different beast altogether. Talking to Gamespot, creative director Justin Farren mentioned that we should not expect a separate campaign or story mode for one player.

“[The story is] woven into it, so the story itself will be woven into everything you do. From the time you build your relationships with your crew until the time that you take down your first kingpin, building up your hideout, all of those things are woven into the modes you play.”

The story is going to be told year after year and you will completely be able to explore it without PvP engagement. There you have it. Ahoy.
