Five Nights at Freddy’s is officially coming to Fortnite. The crossover arrives with Fortnitemares 2026 on October 1, bringing Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria to Battle Royale alongside Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy as animatronic bosses.
After plenty of teasing and player speculation, Epic Games has finally confirmed the Fortnite x Five Nights at Freddy’s collaboration.
And it looks more substantial than a simple Item Shop crossover.
Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria is coming to Battle Royale
The reveal confirms that Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria will appear on the Fortnite Battle Royale map during Fortnitemares.
Players had already spotted a suspicious unfinished restaurant-style location during the current season, fueling speculation that a FNAF collaboration was on the way.
That theory was right.
The completed pizzeria will feature Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy as hostile animatronic bosses, with Epic encouraging players to enter the location and “survive the night.”
The trailer also appears to hint at players using animatronic forms during the event, although Epic has not yet explained exactly how that mechanic works.

The crossover launches with Fortnitemares 2026 on October 1.
Fortnite’s annual Halloween event regularly brings horror characters, seasonal enemies, quests, cosmetics, and map changes to Battle Royale, so Five Nights at Freddy’s is a particularly natural fit.
Cosmetics based on the animatronics also appear likely from the reveal, but Epic has not yet published the full Item Shop lineup, bundle details, or pricing.

Freddy is getting more than an Outfit
The interesting part is that Epic appears to be using more than just the FNAF character designs.
The pizzeria itself is joining the map, the original animatronics are becoming boss encounters, and the crossover is directly playing with the series’ “survive the night” setup.
Fortnitemares starts October 1, so players will soon find out whether Freddy Fazbear is quite as intimidating when the night guard arrives carrying an assault rifle.
