Has it really been 16 years already since Warcraft 3‘s launch?
Blizzard is apparently on a roll when it comes to bringing back the classics. Classic Tristram for Diablo III, bringing back vanilla World of Warcraft for people nostalgic for simpler times, and now a patch to the RTS the story of which became the immediate foundation for all the madness that happened in WoW since.
The changes aren’t revolutionary in the least, mostly concerned with quality of life, and they include improvements for widescreen resolutions, 24-player lobbies. The full notes can be read here, on the official forums.
Ok, I lie. There is also a bunch of balance changes, to be found here, and changes to the world editor, detailed here.
That’s quite an update for a game older than some gamers.
