Warhammer Survivors is expanding beyond PC. Developer Auroch Digital has confirmed that the survivors-style roguelite is coming to PlayStation 5 in 2026, alongside Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and Switch 2, with new content revealed as part of the announcement.
Set across both the Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer Age of Sigmar universes, the game lets players pick iconic champions and survive endless enemy waves using evolving weapons and screen-filling abilities. Auroch previously announced the game for PC, but this latest reveal confirms that console players are joining the fight too.

New playable characters revealed
The new trailer introduces several additional playable characters from the Warhammer 40K side.
Including Commissar Yarrick, Sly Marbo—described in PlayStation coverage as “The Legend of Catachan”—Marneus Calgar, and Knight-Commander Pask in a Leman Russ tank.
That last one is especially eye-catching, because Pask’s tank appears to make him the largest playable character shown so far.
That mix gives Warhammer Survivors a broader roster identity than most games in the genre. Instead of just stat variations, it looks like Auroch is leaning hard into recognizable Warhammer fantasy and 40K power fantasies.
New weapons include the Gauntlets of Ultramar and a raining D6
The newly revealed arsenal includes some very on-brand additions. Marneus Calgar’s Gauntlets of Ultramar bring sweeping melee attacks plus explosive bolter fire, while the D6 Dice weapon drops bouncing red dice that explode based on the face rolled.
The D6 is especially notable because it crosses over between the 40K and Age of Sigmar sides of the game.
That kind of weapon design feels like a smart fit for the Warhammer license: over-the-top, instantly readable, and built for chaotic crowd control.
Orks join the fight, led by Ghazghkull Thraka
The other major reveal is the arrival of the Orks as a new enemy faction for the 40K side of the game. The lineup includes units like Bomb Squigs, along with a boss fight against Ghazghkull Thraka, who is described as an Extremis Boss with his own attack patterns and mechanics.
Based on the announcement coverage, Ghazghkull can slash with his Power Klaw, unleash ranged fire, and summon mobs of Orks into the fight.
That’s a strong reveal for Warhammer fans, because Ghazghkull is one of the biggest names Auroch could have picked for a 40K boss showcase.
Still no exact release date
The one thing still missing is a firm launch date. Right now, Auroch has only confirmed 2026 for PS5 and the other newly announced console versions.
There’s no exact day yet, but the game is clearly being positioned as a bigger cross-platform release than originally expected.
Final thoughts
For a survivors-like, Warhammer Survivors is doing a good job of looking more than just “Vampire Survivors, but grimdark.”
Between the cross-universe character roster, faction-specific enemies, and some very Warhammer-flavored weapons, it already feels like it has a stronger identity than a simple reskin. The PS5 version only makes it more likely this one lands with a bigger audience when it launches in 2026.
