In an interview for MCV, Ubisoft’s sales director for UK Darren Bowen stated his confidence that Watch Dogs 2 is able to make up for the lack of a new Assassin’s Creed game this year. After annual releases of new AC games the lack of it in this year’s roster was a big of a shock for some, a relief for others. Ubisoft is confident their hacking open-world game can fill in these shoes, and they may well be right about this. WD2 seems more upbeat and energetic than its notoriously bleak predecessor. Of course, if having no Assassins is a too terrible a fate, this year we receive a remastered Ezio trilogy.

Either way Ubisoft makes sure the fans have something to play, which is never a bad thing when nice things are coming our way.
