SHIFT UP confirmed the date following the September Nintendo Direct.
The Switch 2 release includes the NieR:Automata and GODDESS OF VICTORY: NIKKE collaboration DLC, Complete Edition bonuses, Joy-Con 2 motion controls for selected non-combat activities, and four new Bayonetta-inspired outfits arriving alongside the launch.
Stellar Blade finally has a Nintendo Switch 2 release date
Stellar Blade was first confirmed for Nintendo Switch 2 during the June 2026 Nintendo Direct, but SHIFT UP initially gave it only a broad 2026 release window.
That wait is over. Stellar Blade Complete Edition arrives on November 5, 2026.
The Switch 2 version is a native release rather than a cloud-streaming version. Nintendo lists the game at roughly 25 GB, with TV, tabletop and handheld modes supported.
If you missed the original Switch 2 announcement, you can catch up with our Stellar Blade Switch 2 reveal coverage.
What is included in Stellar Blade Complete Edition?
The Nintendo Switch 2 version includes the base Stellar Blade campaign together with major post-launch content that was released for the existing versions.
The package includes:
- Stellar Blade base game
- Stellar Blade x NieR:Automata DLC
- Stellar Blade x GODDESS OF VICTORY: NIKKE DLC
- Stargazer Suit for EVE
- Stargazer Wear for Adam
- Stargazer Coat for Lily
- Half-Rim Glasses for EVE
- Quadruple Rectangle Earrings for EVE
- Stargazer Pack for the Drone
- 2,000 SP EXP
- 5,000 Gold
That makes this the easiest version for newcomers who want EVE’s full original adventure without piecing together the additional content separately.
Bayonetta is joining the party too
4 NEW OUTFITS
SHIFT UP also used the release-date announcement to reveal a new Bayonetta collaboration.
EVE will receive four new couture outfits inspired by the iconic PlatinumGames heroine. Three have already been teased, while SHIFT UP is keeping the fourth design secret for now.
The outfits will be available for free across Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5 and PC from the launch window.
That means the collaboration is not exclusive to Nintendo’s version, but it does arrive at exactly the right time to make the Switch 2 release feel more like an event than a straightforward late port.
What is different on Nintendo Switch 2?
The core game remains the same story-driven action adventure built around EVE’s fast melee combat, parries, dodges, combos and large boss fights.
Switch 2 adds several hardware-specific touches.
Joy-Con 2 motion controls are supported for selected activities away from combat, including fishing. Nintendo also lists touch-screen support and HDR on compatible displays.
The important distinction is that SHIFT UP does not appear to be radically redesigning combat around motion controls. The feature is an extra interaction option rather than a replacement for traditional controls.
Worth Knowing: this is the Complete Edition of the existing Stellar Blade experience, enhanced for Switch 2. It is not a sequel or a separate Nintendo-exclusive campaign.
Physical collectors get some good news
FULL GAME ON CARTRIDGE
SHIFT UP has confirmed that Stellar Blade Complete Edition will be available both physically and digitally.
More importantly, the studio says the Switch 2 physical release is 100% on cartridge.
That will be welcome news for collectors who have been watching publishers experiment with different physical formats on Switch 2.
A limited SteelBook edition is also planned, featuring exclusive key art on a metallic case. Quantities are limited.
How much does Stellar Blade Complete Edition cost?
SHIFT UP lists the Complete Edition at:
- $59.99 in the United States
- €59.99 in Europe
- £54.99 in the United Kingdom
- ¥7,980 in Japan
Pre-orders are now open through Nintendo eShop and participating retailers.
Players who pre-order receive early access to three cosmetic items:
- Planet Diving Suit White Edition for EVE
- Classic Round Glasses for EVE
- Ear Armor Earrings for EVE
These are cosmetic bonuses rather than gameplay upgrades.
Stellar Blade on Switch 2 joins a very busy November 5
November 5 is becoming one of the more interesting dates on Nintendo’s late-2026 calendar.
Stellar Blade Complete Edition launches on the same day as The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on Switch 2 and Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy: Encore Edition.
That makes the first week of November unusually stacked for Switch 2 owners, especially players looking for larger action-adventure releases.
You can see the wider lineup in our Nintendo Switch 2 third-party games guide.
We also covered all of the newly announced games in our Nintendo Direct September 2026 roundup.
Already want to play Stellar Blade before November?
The Complete Edition is already available on PC, so players who do not want to wait for the Switch 2 version can play EVE’s adventure there now.

Stellar Blade’s Switch 2 release is no longer just a vague 2026 promise
The important news here is simple: Stellar Blade Complete Edition launches on Nintendo Switch 2 on November 5, 2026.
But the Complete Edition treatment makes the port more interesting than a simple late conversion.
Nintendo players get the base adventure, NieR and NIKKE collaboration content, the new Bayonetta outfits, Switch 2-specific control features and a proper physical edition with the full game stored on the cartridge.
For players who have been waiting specifically for a portable version of EVE’s story, November now has a very clear date on the calendar.
