The Wolf Among Us Remastered Has an October Release Date

The Wolf Among Us Remastered will launch on October 29 for PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2.

The original episodic adventure debuted in 2013 and follows Bigby Wolf, the sheriff of Fabletown, as a murder investigation pulls him into a conspiracy involving the fairy-tale characters secretly living in New York.

The remaster includes all five episodes: Faith, Smoke and Mirrors, A Crooked Mile, In Sheep’s Clothing, and Cry Wolf. Player choices, interrogations, investigations, and the original branching narrative remain at the heart of the experience.

What Is New in The Wolf Among Us Remastered?

This is more than a simple resolution bump.

Telltale says the new edition features improved lighting, updated animation, refined character and environment presentation, an updated user interface, improved accessibility options, upgraded audio, and improvements to resolution and frame rate.

A new Noir Mode is also included, giving Fabletown a black-and-white presentation that fits the game’s detective story and comic-book roots particularly well.

There is also more than an hour of additional material, including behind-the-scenes videos, cast interviews, image galleries, deleted scenes, concept material, and other archival content about the creation of the original game.

A Good Time to Return to Fabletown

The remaster gives newcomers an easy way to experience one of Telltale’s most celebrated adventures without going back to the original release, while returning players get a cleaner presentation and a substantial collection of extras.

And October 29 is almost suspiciously good timing. A neon-lit murder mystery about fairy-tale characters, monsters, and the Big Bad Wolf arriving two days before Halloween? Fair enough, Telltale.
