Star Wars: Battlefront II is the second release of a multiplayer shooter in the Star Wars universe. The game was developed by Pandemic Studios in 2005. Players once again have an opportunity to join epic battles, played on huge battlegrounds as members of the Rebel Alliance or the Galactic Empire. In Battlefront 2, we will meet famous heroes such as Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Darth Vader or the Emperor. The battles take place not only on the ground but also in space or inside huge vessels, for example, the infamous Death Star. The game gives us a chance to visit 12 diversified planets, including Mustafar and Utapau, known from the third part of the cinematic saga, Revenge of the Sith.

Exciting, addictive gameplay and mechanics

A large-scale multiplayer encounter is the main element of the gameplay. Players can join huge battlefields, where up to 64 players will fight for victory. The game offers five different online modes, including Conquest, Assault, CTF (Capture the Flag), Hero Assault and Hunt. Players can choose from 6 different, playable classes, specializing in a different kind of playstyle.

Depending on the planet, you can join and fight for one of 4 available factions: Rebels, Imperials, CIS or the Republic. Each of the factions has its unique units. In opposition to its predecessor, in Star Wars: Battlefront II players can finally wield a lightsaber and fight as a Jedi or Sith. Heroes are much stronger than regular units; every each of them has a set of unique abilities, characteristic for the specific hero. For example, Darth Vader can use the Force to choke his enemies, while the Emperor will terrorize others with powerful thunder strikes. To balance the game, heroes can be played only after getting a certain amount of points, and only for a limited time. Besides infantry, the game offers a wide variety of space ships and ground vehicles, which can greatly affect the final resolution of the battle. In addition to the multiplayer mode, the developers have also prepared a set of single-player missions, in which we have an opportunity to join an elite 501st Legion of Stormtroopers and fight for the name of Darth Vader.
