The renewed edition was developed by Vicarious Studios and was released by Activision Blizzard in June 2021, on Nintendo Switch.
It is worth mentioning that this is a makeover of the original games and it doesn't limit only to the increased resolution of the textures. Almost every element present in the new edition of Pro Skate 1 & 2 has been fully remastered with the newest technologies used in the game dev environment.

Gameplay and Mechanics

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 2 is very faithful to the original, classic games, not only in terms of design but the gameplay as well. The game features the original roster of skaters, including Tony Hawk, Jamie Thomas, Andrew Reynolds, Kareem Campbell, Elissa Steamer, Bob Burnquist, Bucky Lasek, Rune Glifberg, Geoff Rowley, Chad Muska, Rodney Mullen, Steve Caballero, and Eric Koston.

Additionally, players will get access to the original, iconic locations like the School, Burnside, Mall, and many others. The main elements of the gameplay remain the same as in the classic versions of the game. Players will spend their time performing various spectacular tricks and stunts, earning money that can be later spent on new skateboards, and skaters development.

Additionally, in the remaster, developers introduced a set of new challenges and new tricks, present in later installments of the franchise. To make the game more suitable for today's standards, players can also quickly load each level to get back to action after a failure.
