About 140
140 is a minimalistic platform game that puts emphasis on rhythm and music synchronization. As youāre going through the levels, you will find numerous dynamic obstacles that change their state according to the in-game music playing. To get through them you will have to learn the patterns and choose the best timing to act ā listening to the music and vibing with the rhythm will be a huge help. Even though the gameās not particularly long, you will be surprised how fun and addictive it can be.
Gameplay
In 140 video game, your main objective is to navigate through increasingly difficult stages in order to safely reach the destination. The main obstacle that will stand between you and your goal is the traps that change their state according to the background music rhythm, requiring good timing to pass. There are also powerful bosses ā defeating them can be a bit more challenging, but it all comes down to the rhythm once more.
Balanced Difficulty Level
Difficulty in this old-school platformer is well-balanced ā even if youāre not a pro at rhythm games you should be able to get through the stages, thanks to the existence of checkpoints that will allow you to skip the part youāve already beaten and get to the one where you failed. There are no lives, so you can repeat the difficult part as many times as you need. Itās also worth noting that thereās no hand-holding in the game ā 140 explains nothing, and as such you will have to learn from trial and error. Donāt worry, though ā itās all quite intuitive to figure everything out on your own.
