Final Fantasy 8 Remastered is a role-playing game set in an unnamed fantasy world. It was developed and published by Square Enix, and improved in collaboration with Dotemu and Access Games. Story

Find yourself in a truly magical world, where magic is inherited and passes down through generations. One day, the peace is broken, and the safety of the realm is in danger when the evil Sorceress Edea claims the throne of the Galbadia Republic. Join our heroes and their allies from the Balamb Garden Military Academy and the resistance, and defeat the mischievous Sorceress Edea.

Remastered edition gameplay

The game consists of three aspects of gameplay, the world map, the field map and the battle screen. Navigate freely across the world, fight the forces of evil, and customize your hero. Use unique character abilities called “Limit Breaks” and shred the enemies. Now, it is also possible to enjoy more freedom in the battle thanks to junctioning the Guardian Forces and drawing magic from your opponents during a battle.

FF 8 Remastered introduces battle assist, speed boost that enables to play scenes at 3x speed, no encounters mode and much more! The game is now compatible with Full HD display, has had improved graphics and has implemented new character models.
