Transformers: Battlegrounds

Transformers Battlegrounds is a turn-based tactical RTS created by the British developer, Coatsink Software. During the game, the player takes control over Autobots who are fighting against sinister Decepticons and their leader Megatron.

Autobots' main goal is to prevent Decepticons from getting the AllSpark - an ancient artifact which in the wrong hands can destroy both, Earth and Cybertron. The game features many famous actors voice acting virtual heroes, including Michael Ironside as Optimus Prime.

Gameplay Mechanics

The action of the game is presented in an isometric view. Players take control over a group of Autobots fighting against Decepticons and their leader, Megatron. The gameplay is divided into separate missions during which players take part in turn-based encounters against evil robots.

Tactical approach and well-thought usage of characters' unique abilities are the key elements of success. As befits every Transformer, each character can transform into a vehicle in order to retreat, or simply move around the battlefield faster. The game features many famous characters, known to every fan of the Transformers franchise. Among them, we can find Optimus Prime, Grimlock, Bumblebee, Windblade, and many others.
