Gameplay

Deep Rock Galactic: Rogue Core turns the familiar co-op mining formula into a roguelite FPS focused on quick decisions, teamwork, and improvised builds. Each mission begins with a loadout choice, including a Phase Suit with an active ability and a Reclaimer Weapon. After landing near a lost dig site, players push through the Greyout Barrier and descend through multiple procedurally generated stages.

Inside the facility, you scavenge equipment, collect weapons, gather Expenite, and build your combat power as the danger increases. Runs are designed around cooperation, with players creating team-wide synergies rather than simply building four separate characters. Between missions, progress continues aboard the RV-09 “Ramrod,” where completed objectives help unlock new gear options and customization paths.

Story

A valuable new mineral called Expenite has been discovered deep within planet Hoxxes IV, leading Deep Rock Galactic to establish covert mining operations in dangerous, unexplored depths. Then, without warning, the dig sites go dark. Contact is lost, the Greyout blocks access, and normal recovery methods fail.

To solve the crisis, Deep Rock Galactic sends in the Reclaimers, an elite dwarven security force called when force is the only option left. Their mission is to bring the lost facilities back online, investigate the mystery behind the Greyout, and confront the deadly Core Spawn threatening the company’s deepest operations.

Deep Rock Galactic: Rogue Core keeps the recognizable sci-fi mining identity of the series while leaning into a darker, more hostile atmosphere. The game takes players into uncharted subterranean environments close to the core of Hoxxes IV, filled with industrial mining structures, alien caves, mysterious Expenite, and aggressive creatures built for a more intense roguelite experience.

The visual theme combines chunky dwarven technology, hazardous underground facilities, glowing resources, and horror-tinged alien threats.
