Double Kick Heroes

Double Kick Heroes is a simple, rhythm-based indie game developed by Headbang Club, released on PC in August 2020. In the game, players have a chance to butcher countless hordes of zombies with music - playing instruments powers up weapons mounted on the player's car. Thanks to the original soundtrack, the game is a mandatory position for every fan of heavy metal and hard rock. It is worth mentioning that DKH gathered many gaming awards, including Gamescom Indie Award.

Double Kick Heroes Storyline

The world that we know has ended - now a handful of people that managed to survive the apocalypse must fight with bloodthirsty zombies. The main heroes of the game are heavy metal musicians - Lincoln, Snake, James, Derek, and Randy are traveling through the highway in their deadly car called Gundilac, playing their beloved music, and slaying hordes of monsters.

Gameplay

Double Kick Heroes is a rhythm-based musical game. During the gameplay, players take control over the band, driving in a weaponized car. Our job is to hit the right button at the right time in order to play the right note. If we are doing everything well, our attacks are becoming more powerful, however, if we make a mistake, our attacks weaken which allows zombies to get closer. It is worth mentioning that besides 24 official levels created by the developers, the game features Community Level Editor that allows players to create their own unique tracks, and levels.

The game received mostly positive reviews among players and critics. Many players applauded the game's unique design and a very high level of playability. Additionally, many reviewers claim that the soundtrack is one of the best selling points of this title.
