Story

Amicia and Hugo, together with their mother and a friend, move to the southern regions of France to finally find a home in a peaceful village. But even in this place, disturbing events make the boy's condition worse. A desperate family discovers the trail of an organization with extensive knowledge about the mysterious curse. It is time to embark on a new journey to confront a brutal fate or surrender to despair.

Gameplay

Plague Tale: Requiem is a third-person action video game set in the breathtaking and harsh setting of 14th-century France. The story tells a direct continuation of the desperate adventures of young siblings in a country invaded by risky conflicts and bloodthirsty rats. Following the linear plot, you will discover new locations, memories, and events.

The game focuses on exploration and spectacular combat. Amicia can now use a crossbow, knife, sling, and various resources like saltpeter or tar. Each enemy requires an individual approach, but the gameplay enables eliminating opponents by surprise - effectively and very brutally. There are also even more bloodthirsty rats that destroy everything in their path. Light is their only enemy, but you can always manipulate them to your advantage. Sneak, set traps, and use Hugo's unique powers to create an effective battle strategy for every occasion and every enemy. You can also decide the direction of Amicia's development to use her skills the way you like best.
