Psychonauts

Psychonauts is a game from Double Fine Productions which was published in 2005 by Majesco Entertainment. It is a platform video game with action-adventure elements. Follow the story of Raz, a son of circus performers who wants to become a Psychonaut. The game has received very positive reviews; the writing is excellent, the psychedelic design is very atmospheric, and Raz's journey shows an image of true inner psyche.

Story

In Psychonauts 1, you follow a history of Razputin, a boy who left his family to take part in the Psychonauts camp. Soon enough, Raz learns the truth behind the experiments happening at the camp. However, no one wants to believe him and the campers start to disappear. You will need to help Raz bring everything to normality. The game offers a true adventure through our psyche and inner mind!

Gameplay

In the Psychonauts video game, control Raz, a Psychonaut with unique abilities, such as telekinesis, levitation, invisibility, and pyrokinesis. Fight off difficult enemies, explore the camp and go through several mental worlds of certain characters. Resolve psychological issues within them and defeat the villain who has stolen all the brains of your fellow campers.

Enter mental worlds

Exploring minds is a part of your unique adventure. Each character differs, and so does their inner consciousness. Explore their heads as no two are alike. Help the characters with the demons from their past and enjoy a different set of challenges and memories in each mind.

Wield psychic powers

Raz is a Psychonaut who wields unique abilities. Those powers include telekinesis, levitation, invisibility, pyrokinesis, clairvoyance, PSI Blast, PSI Shield, and confusion. As the story progresses, you are able to become even more powerful. Those superpowers help you with solving puzzles and defeating the enemies. Play to your strengths and use the full potential of your brain!
