Intruder

Intruder game is a multiplayer, online first-person shooter with tactical elements. It was both developed and published by Superboss Games. The game was released in Early Access on March 1, 2019. According to the announcements, the full version will be available in 2024.

Story summary

Due to its multiplayer nature, Intruder does not have a heavily outlined storyline. Players take on the roles of either Intruders or Guards and have specific tasks to accomplish, such as eliminating or diverting the attention of enemies and completing missions.

Gameplay

The gameplay in Intruder game is inspired by single-player campaigns found in games like Metal Gear Solid or Splinter Cell. It involves not only shooting but also stealth, setting traps, and hiding, using numerous interactive environmental elements.

The game features two teams: Guards and the eponymous Intruders, who wear balaclavas to cover their faces.

• Guards are tasked with protecting computer systems or packages. To accomplish their mission, they must eliminate all enemies, which can be relatively easy considering there is no health regeneration, and sometimes 2-3 accurate shots are enough to take down an opponent.
• Intruders, on the other hand, do not need to eliminate all guards to complete their objectives. They can even carry out missions without shedding blood. The game allows for bypassing or diverting the attention of enemies. Intruders can use various hiding spots, peek around corners using mirrors, set traps, or use smoke grenades. Hacking systems in buildings is also a possibility in the game.

Depending on the map, players start the gameplay either fully armed or need to acquire weapons themselves. It is possible to use explosive traps, motion detectors, CS gas to weaken enemies, or C4 to incapacitate them. Players can even manipulate lights in rooms to gain an advantage over the opposing team.

Intruder also allows players to feign death to deceive their opponents. If a player is hit, for example, in the leg, they will fall as they would in real life.
