Rail Route

Rail Route is a small, yet complex indie train dispatcher simulator/route simulator that offers a unique and intriguing experience. The main goal of the game is very simple: you need to manage train traffic. It sounds easy, and in the begging it is. However, as the game progresses it becomes more and more complicated and challenging.

Gameplay

As expected from a management & tycoon game, you will be managing more and more trains and accepting more and more contracts. To do so you will need to expand your railway system, build new tracks to your stations, and optimize the whole process to the best of your abilities. You will be able to unlock new technologies that will help you in the automation of your operations and upgrading infrastructure.

Two game modes

The game offers two game modes. On Endless Maps you can create, upgrade and expand your railways as much as you can by using all mentioned tools. Scored Maps on the other hand offers a different kind of experience. Here, you will need to manage traffic on pre-set track layout. The challenges differ from simple routing situations to difficult sequencing puzzles.

Map editor

Rail Rout also comes with its own map editor for those players who want to create anything they want within the game engine. Players can create their own unique maps or perhaps recreate famous railways or even junctions of their hometown. Everything’s possible!

The game is in early access and the developers plan on expanding the already existing systems and adding completely new features.

Minimalistic 2d graphics is another strong feature of the game as it is very charming and makes the whole system easier to comprehend. This includes a very intuitive and simple user interface.
