About Low-Budget Repairs
Low-Budget Repairs is a humorous renovation simulator set in a Polish apartment block during the 1990s. Complete repair jobs, improvise with questionable methods, cut material costs and maximise the profit from your small handyman business.
Low-Budget Repairs Key Features
- Manage a small renovation business in 1990s Poland.
- Complete a variety of apartment repair and refurbishment jobs.
- Save money by choosing cheap tools, materials and unconventional solutions.
- Paint walls, install tiles, repair plumbing and handle furniture.
- Interact with apartments and their contents through physics-based mechanics.
- Visit the hardware store to purchase tools and supplies.
- Make decisions that can increase your profits or cause unexpected problems.
- Experience a humorous take on renovation and handyman simulators.
Gameplay
Take on renovation contracts and perform the work requested by your clients. Jobs may involve painting rooms, laying tiles, fixing damaged installations, moving furniture or restoring flooded bathrooms. However, perfect craftsmanship is not necessarily the most profitable approach.
You can dilute paint to make it last longer, use inexpensive tools, place tiles without carefully aligning them or find improvised solutions to difficult tasks. Before and between assignments, visit a hardware store to compare supplies and purchase whatever you need. Every saving leaves more money in your pocket, but careless decisions may create additional trouble.
Story
You play as a self-employed handyman running a small business in a Polish block of flats during the 1990s. Each day introduces new customers, apartments and renovation challenges. Your goal is to complete contracts, earn money and keep the business moving, even when your cost-cutting methods produce less-than-perfect results.
The campaign connects individual jobs with characters, locations and storylines while maintaining the gameâs satirical tone. Your decisions determine whether another questionable renovation becomes an easy profit or the beginning of a much larger problem.
Graphics
Low-Budget Repairs presents a distinctive recreation of 1990s Polish apartment blocks. Worn interiors, dated wallpaper, old furniture, crowded rooms and practical hardware stores establish the gameâs period setting.
The environments support interactive, physics-based comedy, allowing furniture, tools, construction materials and apartment fixtures to react to the playerâs actions. The visual presentation combines everyday residential spaces with exaggerated renovation accidents and deliberately imperfect results.
