Luigi’s Mansion 3 is an action-adventure game in which, as the title brother of the famous Mario, we explore a haunted hotel. The game boils down to solving puzzles, overcoming obstacles, and struggling with ghosts using fancy gadgets.

Story

Although the story told in Luigi's Mansion 3 sounds quite severe, it is full of humor and doesn't have much in common with horrors. The main character of the game is the title, Luigi. The protagonist arrives at the luxury hotel with his famous brother - Mario, Princess Peach, and little Toads, where they intend to spend their holidays. Soon after, things get out of control - the companions of our pupil disappear out of nowhere, and this place turns out to be haunted by ghosts. The terrified hero must find the courage to face the ubiquitous phenomena and find his loved ones.

Gameplay

Luigi's Mansion 3 gameplay has been divided into levels corresponding to the next floors of the hotel; each of them has its theme, which is reflected not only in the appearance of furniture and decorations but also in what opponents we will face on our way. Traveling through these stages, we discover many secrets, solve ingenious puzzles and avoid omnipresent traps, and deal with opponents. The essential tool used by Luigi against the phenomena is a flashlight whose light deafens them for a short time. Also, Gooigui appears in the game – Luigi's clone made of green goo, over which we can take control at any time. He can squeeze through narrow gaps or pass through spikes protruding from the ground, and his help is indispensable for solving selected puzzles.

Game modes

Luigi’s Mansion 3 game allows you to play alone or in the company of other players. If you have only one console at your disposal, the other person can take control of Gooigui at any time. In addition, the Scarescraper mode, prepared for up to 8 players, is waiting for checking, in which we traverse the procedural floors of the building, performing various tasks such as capturing a certain number of ghosts or saving kidnapped Toads; the matter is complicated by the fact that the time we have to implement them is limited.

Reception

Luigi’s Mansion III received many positive reviews from both critics and players, who mostly value its excellent level design, use of Gooigui, and the variety of levels, each with different challenges that you need to face to find your loved ones.
