Space Engineers - Frostbite

Space Engineers provides you with the unique sandbox experience. It is a game of multiple genres, involving a number of activities you can take take and mechanics for you to explore and learn.

The game sees the players building their own spaceships, constructing their space stations and designing war machines in order to explore the space and survive in the unfriendly environment. Travel from one planet to another, discover new worlds and gather various resources and materials to increase your chances of survival. The developers generally do not set any limits to your gameplay. Almost everything you could think of as a space explorer in a distant future can be built and utilized.

Game modes

The game features two modes – Creative and Survival modes differ a bit in various aspects. While the Creative mode provides you with the unlimited resources and instant building, the Survival mode poses a much greater challenge. You will need to think twice before you will spend your resources on upgrading your space station or constructing some machinery. More realistic resource management puts in danger of running out of them quite quickly if you are not careful.

Moreover, the game also lets you play with other players in the multiplayer mode. It can be both competitive and cooperative with up to 16 players and dedicated servers. Playing Survival mode with your friends will surely be much more interesting than doing it alone. The PVP aspect is also there when you look at the competitive mutliplayer gameplay. The developers wanted to focus less on a standard face-to-face shooting, providing the players with a wide selection of various war machinery and constructs to use against their opponents during the PVP gameplay. The game is basically about building and constructing, and not simply about running around with your firearm and shooting.

Frostbite DLC

The Frostbite DLC for Space Engineers includes more than just the very Frostbite scenario. What you can find inside the pack is as follows:

• the new Frostbite scenario – become the member of a salvage crew and set out on a difficult mission on Triton (play it solo or with your friends);
• an impressive Antenna Dish;
• new poses of the bodies of the Dead Engineers (with the lootable backpacks);
• two new emotes: “I’m cold” and “Check Wrist”;
• new Frozen Armor Skin for the blocks you use in your constructions;
• a new, massive gate to use in your bases, ships and vehicles;
• Offset door;
• LCD Posters (for example, ads for Clang Kola or Cosmic Coffee).
