Gameplay

Over the Hill focuses on exploration and off-road driving rather than traditional racing. Players choose their own routes across challenging natural environments while managing obstacles created by mud, uneven terrain, steep climbs and gaps in the landscape. When driving alone or working together in co-op, tools such as winches and planks can help free stuck vehicles and overcome difficult sections.

Exploration also rewards curiosity. Players can complete objectives, discover cabins, merchants, scenic viewpoints and unusual landmarks, and locate portals leading to new areas. Progress unlocks additional vehicles, equipment, upgrades and customization options, giving players more ways to prepare for future expeditions.

Story
