Blasphemous 2 is a souls-like dark fantasy metroidvania developed by a Spanish independent studio, The Game Kitchen. This critically acclaimed sequel to Blasphemous, a best-selling video game from 2019, was published by Team17 in 2023.

Blasphemous 2 starts right after the events of Blasphemous: Wounds of Eventide DLC. Once again become The Penitent One, the main protagonist of the Blasphemous series, and explore the new world you find yourself lost in. Use your trusty sword, the Mea Culpa, and other powerful weapons freshly introduced to the series, to fight various grotesque and twisted enemies that inhabit this dark and mysterious land!

Just like its prequel, the Blasphemous 2 video game is a single-player souls-like metroidvania with horror, platformer and action RPG elements. This unforgiving and difficult story-driven adventure is set in a dark 2D world presented in stunningly detailed pixel art. The setting of the game is full of religious themes references as well as gore and violence, making Blasphemous 2 a pretty gloomy production designed with a mature audience in mind.
