Genre-wise, the SteamWorld series includes various video games all set in the unique, steampunk world presented in characteristic, hand-drawn art style. This a bit cartoony, family-friendly franchise has gathered huge popularity, especially amongst the independent video games enthusiasts, with their smash hit metroidvania platformer, SteamWorld Dig, as well as its sequel.

This time both the fans of the franchise and players new to the series are introduced to SteamWorld Build - an exciting single-player strategy game focused on base building and resource management. Build your own SteamWorld town and watch it thrive!

SteamWorld Build allows its players to create and develop their own steampunk settlement inspired by the Old West aesthetics. With the aid of robots seeking shelter in the safety of your town, you’ll find, gather and trade resources, research ancient technology, manage your hard-working folk and their workplaces, expand and upgrade your village, and keep its inhabitants happy, safe and healthy... or rather fully operational.

In order to run and upgrade your town, you’re going to need to gather resources found both on the surface and underground. It’s obvious that the SteamWorld would not be the same without mining and SteamWorld Build is no different - enjoy exploration of the dangerous areas below your town, find useful resources and dig as deep as you can! Be careful though as your mines are always in danger of collapsing or getting attacked by whatever lurks in the shadows...

The SteamWorld Build video game features five beautifully designed maps filled with countless secrets and challenges for you to discover. The game features four difficulty levels as well as a sandbox mode for those looking for a relaxing, open-world experience. Get your shovel ready and get digging - and building!
