Windbound is a survival single player game created by 5 Lives Studio and released by Deep Silver in 2020. A real adventure and a fight for survival in a fantastic and wild place somewhere between the waves of the seas await you. Windbound Story

The main character of the plot is the warrior Kara. During a terrible storm, she is separated from her travel companions and ends up alone on the shores of one of the uninhabited Forbidden Islands. The exploration of this wild land will allow you not only to survive but also to discover the secrets of the civilization that once developed in this place.

Gameplay

The Windbound game offers you to see the world from a third-person point of view. The goal here is survival, exploration and crafting. Initially, Kara must focus on obtaining food and the most readily available resources from which she will be able to produce the basic tools and weapons needed for life. Obtaining new resources and improving your own inventions will allow you to explore new islands in the Forbidden Islands archipelago, and each of them will be inhabited by a different fauna and flora. It will also be possible to build better and better boats, which will let you to traverse the rough ocean waves as well as avoid attacks by aggressive sea creatures.

Windbound Reception

First of all, the game was received with great interest, because graphically aesthetic indie gameplay in a survival RPG style and in such an extensive world is not often found. The plot has its own unique and exotic atmosphere, well emphasized by the soundtrack, but the mere repetition of some of the task patterns may seem a little boring after some time.
