Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is a direct continuation of Xenoblade Chronicles 2 from 2017. Story

The setting of Xenoblade Chronicles 3 allows the player to visits the world of Aionios which is torn apart by the war waged by two powerful nations: Keves, which focused its strength on mechanical proficiency, and Agnus, which is more ether-oriented. Both of these powers use artificially engineered soldiers whose only purpose in their short, 10-year-old lives is combat. Two main characters, Noah and Mio, are part of special units of off-seers on each side of the conflict. Along with their friends, they must put aside their differences and run as fugitives to stop a greater evil and bring order to the world!

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 features many different characters, each with their own unique personalities and abilities, strengths and weaknesses. To succeed they must learn how to cooperate and use their unique talents to complement each other.

Gameplay

At the heart of Xenoblade Chronicles 3 lies exploration and combat. Colourful characters in your party play a major role here as each of them has their unique class with a set of specific abilities called Arts. Classes can be changed and you can swap party members with ease to better suit your strategy and playstyle. Arts can be combined in combos and specific party members can coordinate attacks called Ouroboros, which effects and visuals will change depending on which character is leading the charge. 

The player can customize their party with different classes, Arts and gems to create a coordinated team that best suits their playstyle. The combat is engaging and offers much freedom in the way the player wants to approach it.
