Dwarf Fortress is a strategy simulation with RPG features developed by Bay 12 Games and released by Kitfox Games in 2022. It is a remastered version of the video game from 2006 that became an inspiration for other giant management titles like Minecraft or RimWorld. But Dwarf Fortress is no ordinary game! Exploring it, you will experience the struggle for survival and the world's massiveness with a different outcome every time!

Gameplay

Play as a group of dwarves or a lone traveler and start exploring the unknown world to find your place in this mysterious land. Choose from three modes: Legends, Adventurer or Fortress, and start your fight for survival. The first is a perfect opportunity to discover the history of the Dwarf Fortress world. In the second, you will play as a lone daredevil embarking on the grand journey to experience many extraordinary adventures. Choose from several races and start a careful exploration during which anything can happen. Try to survive, but the chances of dying are really high!

The Fortress is the most extensive mode in which you will lead a team of dwarves. Your task will be to gather resources, build a fortress and create a colony. Each playthrough is a new randomly generated world - get ready for anything! Your heroes are brave, but the slightest mistake can lead to the colony's fall.

Collect resources, take care of food and beer supplies, and develop their culture. Discover new crafts and create impressive structures to design the world of your dreams. But be careful - the slightest mistake can drive dwarven villagers into depression or madness. There are also drunk cats and hundreds of randomly generated monsters, animals, enemies, instruments, and weather conditions. This world is alive and will do anything to stop your plans!
