Last Oasis

Last Oasis is a survival MMORPG game developed by Donkey Crew and released in 2020. It is set in a post-apocalyptic world where Earth has stopped rotating. The habitable zone, known as the Last Oasis, lies in a narrow strip of land between these two extremes, and it is constantly moving as the planet orbits the sun.

Plot

In the distant future, a cataclysmic event has caused the Earth to stop rotating. This has resulted in two extreme environments: one side of the planet being scorched by the relentless sun, while the other side is plunged into perpetual darkness and cold. The survivors of this apocalypse are nomads, who must constantly migrate to stay within the moving habitable zone. They rely on gigantic walking machines called Walkers to traverse the unforgiving terrain, gather resources, and build settlements.

Gameplay

In the Last Oasis game, players have to make use of what's left of the world. Find water sources, engage in hunting, protect themselves from pirates, and concoct mind-opening "Vitamins" to uncover advanced Walker-building technologies. Players must collect resources such as wood, stone, and metal to create tools, weapons, and equipment. They also need to construct and upgrade their bases that can be customized to adapt to different environments and playstyles. Stone walls provide better defense, while wooden structures can be easily transported when packed up and placed in Walkers.

Combat in Last Oasis is skill-based and challenging, emphasizing timing, precision, and player skill. The game features many melee weapons, such as swords, maces, and polearms, as well as ranged weapons like bows and mounted ballistae.

Social interaction is a vital component of Last Oasis, as players can form alliances, trade resources and items, and participate in clan-based activities. Clans can work together to control territories, construct fortified bases, and wage war against other clans to establish dominance.

Sandworm

In Last Oasis, the Sandworm, also known as the Desert Worm, is thought to be the most fearsome creature that players may encounter in the game. This colossal, worm-like beast dwells within the sandy terrain of certain desert biomes and poses a significant threat to unwary nomads and their Walkers.

The Sandworm is known for its ability to burrow beneath the surface and remain hidden, only to emerge with little warning when it detects nearby movement or potential prey. Its enormous size and powerful jaws make it a formidable opponent, capable of dealing massive damage to Walkers and players alike.
