Gameplay

Charting the Unknown expands the open-world gameplay of Crimson Desert Enhanced by adding new ways to explore and interact with Pywel. Players can leave the shore behind, control a ship and travel across open waters to reach previously unexplored islands. Exploration also extends underwater, where diving reveals submerged ruins, treasures and secrets hidden beneath the sea.

Combat remains an important part of the adventure, with new enemies appearing across both land and sea. Different encounters encourage players to adjust their tactics depending on the opponent and environment. Outside combat, the DLC introduces additional activities such as renting and managing facilities, improving a personal home through the expanded Housing mode and developing relationships with inhabitants of Pywel.

Story

The adventure continues with new stories unfolding throughout Pywel. Kliff, Oongka and Damiane follow their own paths as they search for purpose and confront new challenges.
