The player decides on the fate of entire species and planets, whether they will thrive or gradually fade away. Everything is possible, but all choices and strategic decisions will impact the galaxy of the player's creation.

Gameplay

The Fermi Paradox video game focuses the gameplay aspect on the strategy and approach of the player. Societies of aliens tend to evolve and expand on their own. However, the player - the Gardener - can take the matter into their own hands. With a strategic approach, paths of different species are to be adjusted. Starting from scratch, that is from the so-called Stone Age, and developing over the centuries to finally become technologically advanced is a compelling process - and it entirely depends on the player!

The simulation of being the creator of the universe is an effective way of writing a unique saga. Everything can be done according to the player's designs, starting with religion and ending with a view on sexuality. Be mindful that everything the civilisation of the players choosing achieves throughout millennia might also bring unsatisfactory outcomes to the galaxy, just as technological and warfare advancements can in the real world.

Game modes

In the Fermi paradox video game, the player's role is to be the Gardener, or in other words, a kind of a god with a single task - to guide up to 10 civilisations according to the developers of the game. The civilisations of aliens and intelligent life will develop independently. However, during critical events, the player will have to decide how the events in the galaxy will shape. There are around 400 different events, which have their own story and consequences on the game environment. As this is a strategy and choice driven simulation of world creation, the aftermath of each playthrough may be individual.

Storyline and Characters

The fermi paradox video game allows the player to become the Gardener and shape the events of the galaxy, thus becoming the main character. Different species on various planets develop their civilisations according to the choice of the player. The same goes for the storyline, as each playthrough may end up in different decisions creating completely independent timelines.
