Secret Government

Secret Government is a strategy game developed by GameTrek and published by 1C Entertainment. In the Shadow Government game, the player becomes a leader of an organisation hidden in the shadows called the Brotherhood, which manipulates events all around the globe to their liking.

Plot

In Secret Government, the player does not become an almighty ruler of any kingdom - on the contrary - they become kingmakers. As the leader of the Brotherhood, a secret puppet master organisation behind all that transpires in the world - the player can pull the strings and watch the world around change and kingdoms may fall and rise just because the player wishes them to.

But the question arises - what is the ultimate goal of the secret society, the Brotherhood? At the beginning of the game, the player chooses the image of the world-to-be as a Grand Master of the organisation and then shapes the events to create a new world order.

Create a secret society that remains in the shadows but is the true ruler of humanity for hundreds of years. They do not lead any country in particular, but everyone adheres to their manipulations. That is what makes them, and the player, exceptionally dominant.

Gameplay

The grand strategy of the Brotherhood is to send emissaries from the organisation to different countries to recruit public figures and ultimately infiltrate governments and bend them to the will of the organisation.

Such government games work as Illuminati simulator in which manipulating a country may have different approaches at a time. The first step may be changing the ruling power of a state. Sometimes, however, the ideology of a whole society needs to be converted. The Brotherhood may even run to extremes such as forcing a start of a war to make their plans moving forward. Many believe war is a crucible in which the economy may be shattered or thrive, depending on the side.
