Total War: WARHAMMER II - The Silence & The Fury

The Silence & The Fury is the latest Lords Pack for Total War: Warhammer II. In this DLC, the player is given new Legendary Lords for Beastmen and Lizardmen - the brass-bodied, bloodthirsty Taurox, and a champion chameleon Skink Oxyolt. Both Lords come with their Regiments of Renown and other units that the player can use to overwhelm their enemies in battle.

Much praise went to the new Legendary Lords, especially the Brass Bull and his cohorts. The players noted how the Taurox and the Beastmen units were a joy to play as. For some, however, the new Lord and his units made the game a tad too easy. Overall, the last DLC for Total War: Warhammer II was considered a nice warmup before the release of TW: Warhammer III. 

The Silence & The Fury Gameplay

Aside from various minor gameplay tweaks and improvements, The Silence and The Fury introduces two new Legendary Lords for Beastmen and Lizardmen. These are Taurox, the minotaur chieftain known as the Brass Bull, among many other fearsome names, and Oxyotl - the chameleon Skink, champion of the Lizardmen, who had long fought the forces of Chaos. Each lord brings to the table new Regiments of Renown and standard units, including The Pale Death, Chameleon Stalkers, and Feral Troglodons for the Lizardmen and The Bloodbrute Behemoth, Wargor Heroes, and Tuskgor Chariots for the Beastmen. 

Story Summary

The epic showdown between the Silence and the Fury is about to begin! Taurox the Brass Bull, the minotaur chieftain of the Beastmen, heeds the whispers of Chaos and marches his conquering armies to battle. Oxyotl, the Lizardman master of stealth and longtime enemy of the Chaos, senses the Chaos moving and sends an army of his own to intercept Taurox. The war that is about to unfold will shake the foundations of the world and decide the fate of millions.
