The Earth Defense Force franchise is a well-known sci-fi third-person shooter video game series focused around the titular EDF - an international force defending our planet from alien invasions. Earth Defense Force 6 is a direct sequel to Earth Defense Force 5 and the eleventh entry in the series in total. The base game contains a whopping 150 missions, granting the players a long and captivating adventure they can enjoy in both single-player and co-op multiplayer modes.

Caught in a time loop

The game is set in 2027, three years after the events of Earth Defense Force 5. After years of alien invasion destroying the planet, some of the defenders come back in time just to discover that the Earth’s population is almost extinct and unable to survive further. Brave members of the Earth defenders use a Primer time portal to time travel back to 2024, accidentally causing a time loop due to double time travel and past changing attempts. It’s your duty to change the course of events once and for all and save humanity once again!

Serve and protect

Fight waves of dangerous insectoids and other deadly creatures from space, and wreak havoc to protect the Earth. Select one of four different Earth Defense Force soldier classes: Ranger, Wing Diver, Air Raider, and Fencer. Shoot, slash, and blow up giant aliens - mutated ants, ticks, beetles, spiders, hornets, reptilians, and more - as well as alien soldier units equipped with state-of-the-art vehicles, drones, et cetera.

Join the cooperative multiplayer mode for up to four players and enjoy fighting for humanity via online co-op or shared/split-screen co-op mode. You can also play on your own, getting support from AI-controlled Earth Defense Force members!
