As you build your own settlement on the edge of the known world, you must take into consideration several factors. Your people need food, and so you need to plan what kinds of crops you want to grow. Sounds simple, but here's where the game's complexity and depth start to shine.

Each crop has unique growing characteristics, and you'll need to configure crop rotations to maintain soil fertility. This will allow you to maintain soil fertility and avoid diseases.
