Prison Architect - Island Bound

Prison Architect: Island Bound is an expansion pack for an original Prison Builder RTS game developed by an independent studio Introvertion in 2015. The DLC is the result of work conducted by the new developer - Double Even studio. The expansion pack enriches the game experiences by adding new elements, such as new means of transportation, security improvements, etc. However, new possibilities may create new problems, that the player will have to deal with. Island Bound DLC features the same graphic design as the base game. Additionally, it is worth mentioning that the expansion requires the base game to work.

Island Bound DLC Gameplay

Island Bound doesn't change the main gameplay mechanics of the original PA game. However, the game has been improved with various new features.The expansion focuses on improving the logistic aspect of the game and enriches it with additional content, creating new possibilities, which makes the gameplay a lot more interesting and engaging. The developers added helicopters and boats, creating new means of transportation for incoming prisoners and cargo. Even though it makes the prison operations more fluid and effective, it also creates new dangers and smuggling opportunities for inmates. In addition to that, Island Bound gives players an opportunity to visit the infamous Alcatraz Prison.
